This is an introductory course for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of an EMS based on ISO 14001. The ISO 14001 standard provides guidelines for managing and improving an organization’s environmental impacts in any industry that it may be. This seminar will provide a model which implements these guidelines, as well as an overview of the purpose and requirements of the ISO 14001 as a system for the management and control of environmental aspects of business.
By the end of this training participants will be in a position to understand the purpose of an EMS (according to ISO 14001) and describe the ISO 14001 standard. Furthermore participants will also gain knowledge about the requirements and the related legislative framework of an EMS.
If the participants wish to complete other EMS courses, such as the ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Course and/or the Internal Auditor course, the knowledge from this course will give them a strong foundation upon which to develop their future auditing skills.
Training during this seminar will be through a combination of lectures, discussions, practical examples and teamwork exercises.
